Well you evil and sinister people who challenged my trivia writing ability have been thwarted once again! Of course some of the questions might not be particularly up to your standards – especially the Flavin questions (What size shoe does Flavin wear? or What’s Johns preferred brand of toothpaste? etc) – I’m content with the choices I have made and hope that you will be too. Here’s hoping tonight’s game goes well, I look forward to seeing you all and making your minds melt into little puddles of goo!

Perhaps later on I’ll swing down to karaoke to see how that show’s going. Tomorrow night at 8pm join me at The Railroad House in Marietta for a little trivia smack down action – that is if you can handle the competition! (those words just doomed me to failure, didn’t they?)

Kid, I’ve flown from one side of this galaxy to the other, and I’ve seen a lot of strange stuff, but I’ve never seen *anything* to make me believe that there’s one all-powerful Force controlling everything. ‘Cause no mystical energy field controls *my* destiny. It’s all a lot of simple tricks and nonsense. Of course, that was before this coming Tuesday night – Science, that hokey technology stuff, that made a good blaster  and 1960’s rock and roll appear to be the topics. Who knows what I’ll be able to come up with? Whatever, may the, uh er – yah – Force be with you!

Ok, Star Wars references aside, it’s a Science and 60’s music free-for-all next Tuesday!

Well, I’ve been “studying up” on my beer over Memorial Day weekend, perhaps I didn’t choose the correct method of studying though. Never the less, I garauntee a challenging game at the Cat’s Meow tonight! European geography isn’t really my strong point but I think I might be able to manage, I’ve got an intersting idea for the picture round at least!

Alright super sleuths, I’ve figured out how we’re going to work this whole John Flavin topic for Brendee’s next Wednesday night and you’re either going to love or hate me for it, I care not – I’ve never been much for feelings in the first place.<jk> Anyway, I’ve done some searching around on this whole interweb thing and I came across this. Good luck.

What a great night of trivia! We had 11 teams at Brendee’s for both of the games, thank you again to all those that make it a point to come out each week, without you trivia night just wouldn’t be the same. Hey Now took first place in Game #1 and that team you all love to hate, Bandito Incongnito, duked it out in an extended round of questions with Not on the Walls, Not on the Floor to nab the gift card for Game #2! Next weeks topics were picked by Where’s T, Geology Rocks and Mac + Cheese = Teamwork, so here there are in no particular order: John Flavin, 80’s Cartoons/ Television, Beer. I’m not sure exactly how I’m going to work this Flavin thing into the questions but I’m sure I will pull it off! So brush up on what you can, I’ll post more information once I figure out what I’m going to do with the questions about John. Looking forward to next weeks game, in the meantime, good night and good luck!

Tonights winners were the Escapees, in second place was The Liberators and in third was JP and Val. Congrats to our winners and better luck next time for those that were so close they could almost taste the money!

Next weeks topics for the Cat’s Meow were chosen by Principal Skinner and they are… European Geography and Beer – study up my friends, my advise is to drink every beer you can find in the next 6 days!

So here we are, another Monday! Last week was great and we’d like this week to be even better. As always we’ve got some great events going on. The Cat’s Meow in Manheim on Tuesday at 8pm, since I wasn’t there last week to host, I figured I’d throw out some topics for you to brush up on – how about advertising and Star Trek? Too geeky – too bad! I’m going to start taking two topics from the 4th place team and announce them here after the show, so get your noodles ready.

Wednesday night it’s trivia again at Brendee’s in Lancaster at 8pm. The topics for this week were chosen by Mac + Cheese = Teamwork and as previously posted they are Sex and the City and Food & Beverage. A change in format is coming June 3rd when we increase the amount of money to be won to $60! $30 for first place $20 for second and $10 for third. We’ll still have 4 rounds, but we’ll also have more incentive to place.

Sean will be hosting karaoke in York at Club XS at 9pm, from what I’ve been hearing the turn out is really nice. Perhaps I’ll get a chance to run down for a visit. Kinda strained my voice last night working the Pirate Feast at Bube’s Brewery and couldn’t really hold a note last night. (Not that I ever really can)

Thursday night, it’s our newest trivia show – The Railroad House in Marietta. The show starts at 8pm. Our first week we had a nice turn out, however since it’s a new thing for this venue, we didn’t have a show this past week due to attendance. It’s always a little rocky starting these things out but I have confidence that we’ll make a good go of it in the future. For those of you that have never been, I’d like to personally invite you to experience this great restaurant. Sean’s hosting, I actually get a chance to scratch my head at some questions – but don’t worry, I’d never let myself win, I’m just in it for the fun! So come on out, the food is awesome, we’ll have Sam Adams Winter Lager on special for only $2 plus food specials, great prizes and, of course, you’ll be supporting our shows and a great local business!

Saturday evening at 9pm, it’s back to the Tilted Kilt in Mount Joy for trivia hosted by yours truly! Last week we had some great teams playing. I didn’t ask anyone for topics for this coming weeks game so I think I might just have to surprise you! I guess you could always comment on here your suggestions. Come in early for dinner, stay for trivia!

Wrapping up the week it’s karaoke at Bube’s Brewery in Mount Joy. Last night, the house was packed! Got off to a little later of a start due to the fact that I was acting in the Pirate Feast down in the Catacombs, but we still ended up with 25 singers and most of them were good for a change! (jk) Mark it in your calendars, June 7th we’ll be hosting another karaoke contest at Bube’s. We’ll have some great prizes and money to give away! Don’t worry, there’s no costuming required for this one (that’s coming up in October). Our contests normally attract a large group so I’ll have karaoke up and running at 8pm that evening for those who want to warm up.
